Daniela’s Pick
A bold Space Age mushroom lamp, likely made in the UK during the 1970s. Compact but commanding, it pairs a striking domed black acrylic shade with a sculptural white enamel base, an archetype of 1970s design confidence and playful futurism.
Sourced in Sydney with no maker’s marks, the lamp has been adapted for Australian wiring by a previous owner. The enamel plate has received a discreet touch-up; the black acrylic shade shows only minor wear. There is some discoloration to the bulb socket and inline switch consistent with age. The heavy cast base provides substantial weight to keep the lamp securely in place.
Perfect for a lounge, bedroom or office, this lamp brings a curated retro accent to interiors that favour mid-century, vintage or Space Age styling.

This example has been expertly reupholstered in Sustainable Living Fabric’s Chelsea range, a textile that balances contemporary durability with refines aesthetic appeal. The chair is constructed from resilient foam, ensuring both structure and comfort, while maintaining the integrity of Pesce’s original vision.
This piece bears the B&B Italia stamp on the underside of the base, confirming its authenticity and heritage. A striking addition to any collection, the Up3 Lounge chair is as much a sculptural statement as it is a seat— perfect for design enthusiasts and collectors alike.

The Biome cushion is the latest addition to my sustainable pillow and cushion collection. Made from surplus fabric salvaged from a previous project, it was created to minimise environmental impact and reduce fabric waste. Each Biome cushion, complete with insert, is crafted from Sustainable Living Fabrics’ Ecostyle range, designed and manufactured in Australia. Its boucle-like upholstery—soft and textured—adds tactile depth to the design.
